AN EVENING WITH JIM MICHIE & FRIENDS
Roshven based owner of Loch Shiel Cruises Jim Michie is also a dedicated musician and extraordinary guitarist who has long been at the forefront of the informal music scene in Lochaber.
Heavily influenced by guitar virtuosos such as James Taylor, Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, Jim has long been much sought after as a session musician in concert and recording studio.
This is a unique and very special concert and a long deserved celebration of the man who has been the driving force behind and influence on so much music in the area for many years.
Showcasing his distinctive guitar style and vocals with a repertoire that looks back over forty years of songs and tunes, the concert will also feature many who have collaborated with Jim over the years, including Jim Hunter (guitars, vocals), Jamie Ash (drums), Graham Flett (bass, keyboard), Chris Pritchard (guitars, vocals), Brian Hepburn (vocals), Kaela Rowan (vocals), Jim Gaitens and Bill Gillespie.
