John Doyle is a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter been lauded with every accolade imaginable in Irish music including performing for President Obama at the White House. Not only is he a fine singer but more importantly, an imaginative songwriter and talented guitar player who grabs audiences with his ability to tell a story.

He is world-renowned for his work as a founding member of the groundbreaking Irish/American band Solas and through his partnerships with musicians such as Tim O’Brien, Andy Irvine, Bruce Molsky, Liz Carroll, Kate Rusby, Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker and Karen Matheson. He reached a new audience with his exciting yearly contributions at Celtic Connections' Transatlantic Sessions and through his own critically acclaimed solo recordings on Compass Records.

"Doyle on guitar has risen to a level occupied by him alone. No one in Irish traditional music is a better guitarist than him right now" (Wall Street Journal)

"John Doyle is as much a story teller as a musician, and he’s masterful at both. Few singer/songwriters are as adept as Doyle when it comes to developing the inveterate themes of Irish Traditional music" (Folk Music UK)
