The Festival's Gala Concert is sure to be a spectacular evening of glorious music for strings. Our festival artists all join forces to perform works for string ensemble, including works by our featured composers, Edward McGuire and Sally Beamish. They will also perform the achingly beautiful Serenade for Strings by our featured composer, Dvorak; and Strauss' delicious and moving sextet from the opera Capriccio. This concert will also feature the 2015 Festival Young Artist, Helena Rose, who joins as soloist in a performance of Eddie McGuire's Air & Slip Jig. A unique and spectacular evening.
