February 2005
At a community meeting in Glenuig Hall on Wednesday 9th February the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of Glenuig Hall were discussed. To find out what's happening please see our What's On? page.
The future of arts programming in Glenuig Hall was also discussed. Eoghan Carmichael, who has programmed and managed most of the events in Glenuig Hall over the last ten years, has let it be know that he can no longer continue in this role due to other work commitments. Other members of the community were urged to become more involved in deciding what events should be put on and in managing them.

November 2004
Glenuig Community Association launched their new website (this one). Ken Bowker of The Square Cottage created the web design and layout, with the words and information supplied by Eoghan Carmichael. Current photographs supplied by Graham Strachan (Tchumbly) and Eoghan Carmichael. We are keen for more photographs of Glenuig, particularly of the festivals, and if you can help please let us know. We are also interested in filling any gaps or correcting inaccuracies in the historical information - if your memory is better than ours please let us know.

Scottish Water have begun construction on a new water treatment plant in Glenuig. Situated between Ballachan and Glenuig Shop, the plant will operate on a filtration system, hopefully reducing the chlorine content that has often been noticeable since Scottish Water began treatments to comply with EU regulations. Construction is estimated to take around 38 weeks, and will involve the siting of large holding tanks at the top of Glenuig Hill as well as the filtration and pumping plant in the village.

May 2004
Lochaber Housing Association completed the building of two new houses in Glenuig.
Situated between Glenuig Inn and St Agnes's Chapel, the houses are of wooden construction, following pressure from Glenuig Community Association who felt this would be more appropriate to the setting than the concrete block construction originally proposed. Thanks to Lochaber Housing Association, local Councillor Dr Michael Foxley, and to Glenuig Estate trustees for helping to ensure that this much needed development took place.

March 2004
Glenuig Inn opened their new accommodation block. A great improvement on that previously available, the new accommodation is by all accounts extremely comfortable and spacious. We wish Glenuig Inn the best of luck with this improvement. They can be contacted through our LINKS page.
