Local lad Ali Begg launches his band Arbor Green's debut record, As We Grow, which is due for release on 4 March 2022

Arbor Green is a band based in Edinburgh and Glasgow. It is the brainchild of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ali Begg. Born and reared in the tiny village of Glenuig in the West Highlands, Ali was lucky enough to start his life learning from and playing with some of the finest traditional musicians in the country.

Whilst rooted in the Scottish folk landscape, Ali's songs have increasingly sought to invoke the spirit of the North American indie/alt-folk scene as well. Arbor Green's debut record, As We Grow, is due for release on 4 March 2022. Recorded and produced by Ali in various home studios, it features a number of musical collaborators, co-conspirators and wonderful friends.

2020 saw Arbor Green finally announce a permanent gigging lineup. It was a really shit time to have finally sorted this out, but the musicians involved are all excellent and looking forward to playing for real humans one day soon.
