Shooglenifty
16 May 2020

This year SHOOGLENIFTY celebrate their 30th ANNIVERSARY with a very special series of gigs, and we are delighted that they come back to Glenuig to help celebrate the 25th ANNIVERSARY of the opening of GLENUIG HALL in 1995.

Self-styled as “Acid Croft”, Shooglenifty need little introduction to Glenuig Hall regulars. Lighting up the stage with joy and verve has always been Shooglenifty’s USP, and with new fiddler in the shape of pint-sized force of nature Eilidh Shaw well and truly established, they are on fire.

Fresh from some high profile appearances including a sell-out show at the Edinburgh International Festival in 2019, a major tour of New Zealand and a midnight show at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, the band are now on a year-long 30th anniversary party which we are delighted to share with them.

A new album has just been recorded and will be released later in 2020. A major documentary about the Shoogles and how they’ve coped with the loss of their former fiddler Angus Grant will also be ready in the anniversary year.

Doors and bar open 7:00pm
